Weekly Masses

Whether you are visiting Hilversum or have made it your home, we extend a warm welcome for you to join our Holy Celebrations.

The English Mass service takes place every Saturday at 5 PM at St. Vitus Church (Emmastraat 7, Hilversum), except on Christmas Eve or during the Easter Vigil when Saturday coincides with these events. Additionally, during the season of Lent, special English services are organized for the community.

The Mass is a community undertaking.  We have a choir, readers, collectors, altar servers and volunteers are always welcome to join.

Eucharistic adoration

The weekly adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, conducted in silence, commences after the 9:30 AM Friday Mass and continues for approximately two hours, concluding at 12:00 PM when the church doors are closed.

Mariakapel (Maria Chapel)

The Mariakapel is located adjacent to the main entrance of St. Vitus Church. This chapel is open for silent prayer throughout the entire year, indicated by the display of a white-yellow flag on the wall near the entrance.

Parking

As of March 1, 2023, the parking lot surrounding the church building will be exclusively available for parking during church services. The gates on Emmastraat will open before Mass and close shortly afterward. However, during social hours and other activities held in the Schaapskooi or Annagebouw, the back gate (Schapenkamp street) will be operational.
